Our mission
To help every skater, from first push to park regular, choose boards, hardware and streetwear that hold up to real sessions, and to celebrate the creativity of the culture that surrounds them.
Loomz Sk8 is an independent, reader-supported review site and blog about skateboarding and the street culture around it. We write about the gear that ends up under your feet and on your back, and about the scene that gives it meaning.
Who we write for
- Beginners and their parents buying a first complete and wondering which specs actually matter.
- Regular skaters looking for decks, wheels, trucks and protection that survive more than a few weeks of park and street sessions.
- Streetwear fans who care about fit, fabric and style as much as about the logo.
What we cover
- Skateboard reviews: completes, decks, cruisers and longboards.
- Skate accessories: wheels, bearings, trucks, grip tape, helmets, pads and tools.
- Streetwear reviews: shoes, hoodies, tees and bags built for skating.
- The B-Boy Blog: guides, etiquette, setup advice and stories from skate culture.
What we stand for
- Function first. A board has to ride well before it looks good. We judge gear on durability, safety and how it suits the skater it is made for.
- Every level counts. Nobody starts out landing kickflips. We explain the basics without talking down, and we never assume an expensive setup.
- Respect the culture. Skateboarding is about creativity, self-expression and community. We write about it with the respect it deserves.
- Straight talk. We say clearly what a product does badly, and we point to better alternatives when they exist.
How Loomz Sk8 makes money
Loomz Sk8 is free to read and earns money through affiliate links. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. When you click a link to Amazon on this site and buy something, we may earn a small commission. The price you pay does not change. Links to Amazon are marked as sponsored. Our commissions never decide which products we recommend or how we score them, and we do not accept payment or free products in exchange for reviews.
How we review
Our reviews are research-based. We combine specifications, patterns across thousands of verified customer reviews and established knowledge about skate gear. We do not claim hands-on testing unless an article says so explicitly. Read the details on our How we review page.
